You know you're a nerd if you've somehow woken up in a 2-dimensional fantasy universe governed by a teenaged game master with a unibrow and Cheeto dust on his fingers. Maybe the thought makes you chuckle, but as your turn approaches, things get serious when you reach for the dice and try to roll a high number. You're hoping to slay the mythical dragonite warlock that's taken your troupe by surprise in the Cataclystic Mountains of Mourgain– and you need to roll a 20 to defeat it. As the dice flop out of your hollow fist, your nerddom dissolves away and you turn into your character, Brodicious the Barbarian. 

Board games have given you a whole new life and now that you've suckered your friends into your universe, you all can cosplay as the most balling versions of yourselves in an alternate reality. Strategically, you're here to win the game, but deep down in your heart, you're here for the LOLs, the cheap beer, and the camaraderie that board game aficionados share everywhere. I personally have a set of rules I always like to keep when it comes to board game night. The rules are simple. I must win (or at least come close to winning) and my friends must each bring a 6-pack to keep the morale up as they get decimated in the game.
